Planning for Pregnancy

Did you know the quality of your eggs is directly tied to your health 3-4 months before conception? Correcting muscle imbalances and establishing good fitness habits early can have positive affects on your child’s lifelong health. These changes will also help with the physical stress of pregnancy and recovery.

Pregnancy Training

Exercise during pregnancy is extremely beneficial. Studies have shown that it can help combat the strains of your changing body, improve development of your child and even shorten labor by up to 3 hours. Working with a specialized trainer will ensure that this exercise is safe for your pregnant body, and will help optimize your functional and aesthetic recovery.

Postpartum Training

Learning to live and thrive in your postpartum body can be difficult, no matter how long ago you gave birth. Whether you’re still in your first “six week pre-clearance period” or already dropping your babies off at school, a trainer can help correct the functional and aesthetic parts of you that pregnancy changed. Even if you aren’t having specific issues, a trainer can help you re-enter physical activities and avoid common postpartum injuries.

Meet Kaela

I’m Kaela Griffin, a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, as well a USAT Level 1 Triathlon Coach and NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. I live in East Nashville with my husband and our two amazing sons.

 

I have been an avid triathlete for over a decade, and in preparing for my first postpartum race, became frustrated with the lack of resources and training for women, throughout their pregnancy journeys. Today, I am dedicated to helping women have easier, safer pregnancies, and working with them to feel confident and strong in their new bodies afterward.
